Fuselage just about finished covering.  Notice how the lines I marked
on the fuel tank stand out. |

      |
My fabric wouldn't come close to holding on the second tube, so instead of
sitting there holding it until the glue dries, this rope held it just fine. |

      |
Fuselage all Poly-Brushed.  After struggling with the slight runs
everywhere, I've decide that all future planes will only be sprayed instead of brushed.
Maybe that will help some. |

Fuselage ready for paint.  With the pitot sticking out like that, it
looks like a jet fighter.  Wait til you see the paint scheme!  It looks
something like a cross between the jet fighter and an ICBM. |

The initial battery location was behind the tank on the
triangle.  W&B showed too far rearward, so I put it up here to
help.  I had a vinyl bag that it fit in perfectly.  The Bungee
was only supposed to be a temporary hold, but it's been there for over 3 years now, and makes it easy to remove, if necessary.  The tray on the
triangle that used to hold the battery can now hold 6 Amsoil
      bottles.  |

      |
This vinyl pocket is big enough for a couple of Amsoil
bottles, and a few tools.  I have another one by the front
seat.  Most auto parts stores or Wal Marts carry these. |

      |
This vinyl pocket makes a great spot for sectionals. |

      |
Rudder trim tab installed.  With it being clear lexan, I could see
problems with people knocking it off by not seeing it, so a strip of Chevy orange on the
    end helps things out. |

      |
Putting the windshield on.  Gotta love rivet guns! |

      |
Everything just about done, and ready for final assembly. |

      |
    Putting the wings on. |

      |
Gap seal detail.  I got these from a hardware store.  They work
great for holding the lexan down. |

What do you mean, not everyone has a garage big enough for a full size
airplane and 2 more cars?  :>)  I used to own a limousine company, and built
on to the garage.  Works great for airplanes, too. |

Bringing the wings out to the airport |

      |
Bringing the fuselage to the airport.  My friend Bryan volunteered to
ride with the fuselage to make sure everything went OK.  BTW, the scarf he's wearing
to stay warm is a left over aileron sock! |

      |
Check out everything before the 1st flight. |

      |
All loaded up and ready to fire up. |

      |
Checking all the instruments for the right readings. |

      |
Taxiing out to the runway. |

      |
    It flies! |

      |
Coming back after 3 touch and goes. |
