I'm sending along pictures of the contraption I built to move my Challenger in and out of the hanger. It takes the lawn mower idea to new heights! There are two key modifications. I've used a PVC toilet flange inverted and mounted on the top of the mower. It's just the right depth and width to hold the tail wheel. It lets you move the mower around to push/pull the plane from all angles, as shown in the picture. Second modification is to use two 3-foot lengths of threaded gas pipe (with a 45 degree connector) to replace the handle of the mower. This length just clears the elevators from the side. I've used I-bolts to attach the handle to the mower base.
